I've just recently switched to PyGLFW from pygame (SDL) and have to say good riddance to it! =D GLFW behaves like freeglut, but like SDL, doesn't hijack your run-loop. unlike SDL though, GLFW is much more efficient in that you don't have to directly test events per run loop. instead, this code is moved to separate functions for those particular inputs, such as key press/release.
but no, my main gripe about SDL was it's glitch where the video resize event would clear your GL context. meaning that if you're using the GL FFP, your display lists and everything you have created would need to be created again before you can continue drawing after a window resize. talk about less efficient... heh
